This article had excellent suggestions about how to deal with the most common side effects of bipolar disorder. Spacing smaller dosages throughout the day, changing medications, making sure you get enough water, changing diet, all of these things can help with embarrassing side effects such as shaking at a restaurant, or dangerous side effects such as having blurred vision while driving. It also might mean someone would have to take their pills three times a day, and that is hard for a bipolar person to remember.
This site is a well-written piece of education & encouragement to keep up on your medications. I particularly liked the fact that it can track your side effects as a personalized piece of information. This would be worth checking out if you're on a new medication & you know your doctor will ask you about side effects that you might not remember!
